May 4th is the best day of the year! That’s right, Star Wars Day is MY birthday! In 2014 I scheduled the PERFECT Disney vacation. We were at the parks for my birthday, my oldest son’s 13th birthday and Mother’s Day!Your birthday is that special ‘you’ day, but getting to spend it at Disney is like twice the magic. You can celebrate your birthday (anniversary, first time at Disney, engagement, retirement…you get the idea) on your Disney trip, and unlike your local restaurant they don’t check ID. When a cast member asks you ‘and what will you be celebrating?’ they want you to celebrate and have a good time. If your birthday is in October and you’re on vacation in March go ahead and celebrate it! When you check into your resort the cast member will give you your very own handy dandy birthday badge to wear during your trip. One might think this is just a simple badge….one would be wrong. Wear that badge for 5 minutes inside Magic Kingdom and you’ll feel like a celebrity. You’ll get birthday wishes from Cast Members and Disney enthusiasts the entire time! I found myself wishing my fellow birthday peeps the happiest of birthdays. The badge doesn’t stop there. It works like a beacon for crowd participation. Don’t bother hiding if you’re wearing it.
