Like most of you, Stephen learned to love Disney as a child, but it was not until he was in his teens that he realized… Disneyland has lines! His family’s annual trips had always been on “Company Nights” for his cousin’s Orange-County based job.

Right out of high school, Stephen got “swept up” in the Magic by being cast in the “Flights of Fantasy” Parade, then spent two years in the Zoo Crew, where he became pals with Little John, Tigger, and Goofy–with whom he shares a birthday. Gawrsh–what a coinkydink!

Stephen’s first trip to Walt Disney World came a few years later. He thought it might be his only trip, so he studied every detail and took in everything the World had to offer. Happily, he turned out to be wrong, and since then has lost count of the number of times he’s visited, but he still looks for those hidden gems and overlooked Imagineering details.

After a brief stint working in Realityland, Stephen returned to the Happiest Place on Earth with a role in Guest Relations. Highlights include many VIP tours, hosting Guests for the Grand Opening of Disney’s California Adventure, and cutting the ribbon at the rededication of City Hall on Main Street, USA.

A different adventure began when Stephen and his husband moved to Ohio. One benefit: going on Disney trips even more often, enjoying the many Festivals and special events, and–between attractions!–the fun of taking it slow, savoring a great meal, or even meeting a new friend. Stephen keeps in touch with many of the people he’s met at Disney Parks over the years,

When not “on property,” Stephen loves hanging out with his three dogs, Road Trips and exploring National Parks, and crafting of all kinds. And of course, planning his next Disney trip–and yours!
